What's New? January 2012: Time to do inside work, but I'm looking out the window at a beautiful snowy landscape. The lavender plants are dormant and unconcerned. The chickens, however, are quite suspicious of that white stuff and not eager to venture out of their houses. The cold doesn't really bother their feet, and they are plenty warm in their feathers, but it just looks weird! We have English sparrows and juncos living in our honeysuckle plants and the evergreen bushes around the house. It's fun to see their little footprints in the snow.
